Figs are high in natural sugars, minerals and soluble fibre. Figs are rich in minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and copper and are a good source of antioxidant vitamins A, E and K that contribute to health and wellness.

I would caution that eating 20 pieces of any large fruit is probably a bad idea, unless you are seriously constipated, as the effects could be disastrous...think about it.

According to ,Luis Villazon's article in Science Focus Figs are male or female and require wasps to pollinate the female figs.

Apparently female wasps crawl inside through narrow holes and lose their wings, becoming trapped. If the fig is a male, the female wasp lays eggs inside the fig. The wasp eggs hatch into larvae and burrow out. The larvae turn into wasps and fly off with the fig pollen.

If a wasp climbs into a female fig, she pollinates it, but cannot lay eggs and just dies alone. Female figs produces enzymes which digest wasps completely so the crunchy bits you taste are not wasps, they are just tasty fig seeds.
