Make Time For A Manhattan Aperitif Cocktail

Well I have a new bar installation at home and have been experimenting somewhat with mixology.

This awesome Buffalo Trace Bourbon is an American whiskey style Manhattan Cocktail and based on one of the five cocktails named after the New York City borough.

As such it is closely related to the Brooklyn cocktail, which uses dry vermouth and Maraschino liqueur.

In this particular cocktail I have sweetened my Manhattan with a mix of dry vermouth and a Cane Sugar Syrup. To add a Splash of Luxury I used a dash (or two) of Chambord Raspberry Liqueur, which adds to the overall flavour as well as a couple of cocktail cherries to garnish.

I served my Manhattan Cocktail with Pure Water Ice. It is the perfect Aperitif Cocktail to get your summer evening party underway.

Before you ay that this is not a Manhattan skyline, you are right. This is the London Evening Skyline from Greenwich, but it is a fabulous view and nothing beats it when you have a spectacular Manhattan Cocktail to enjoy it with. So please forgive the backdrop and enjoy the drink responsibly of course.
