Do pets really benefit from Psychologist sessions?

Some pet owners today (who may or may not actually need the help of a psychologist) have embarked on taking their pet for professional counselling. That's right, Pet Psychology, it's new, it's radical and it's here to stay.

Dr Doolittle claims up to 60% of household pets are on the verge of nervous breakdown and many report feelings of abandonment, loneliness and neglect by their owners.

These so called petients are admitted to his clinic on weekly sessions to overcome the trauma of being uprooted from their peternal families and being forced onto domestic slavery by humans who by and large see their pets as accessories .

Poodle Power

Take for example the case of "Poochy" the Poodle! Poor Poochy was a slightly overfed poodle who was forced into her owners "luxury" handbag. According to reports from eye witnesses the handbag was three sizes too small for Poochy.

The bag was made of inferior fabric which caused the poodles fur to fall out, it began with a small green rash on her backside which eventually led to premature shedding of her fur coat.
