These are my attempt at making home made biscuits. Made with a shot of Drambuie the golden coloured Scotch whisky, honey, herbs and spices liqueur, they have a distinctly sticky toffee texture with a tangy orange hint. They are of course the perfect accompaniment to a great whisky but also make sweet snacks for anytime. The basic dough mixture is quite wet and includes nuts, some mixed fruit, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and lashings of Golden Syrup. Cooked for 20 minutes they make a perfect breakfast flapjack style offering, and reheated they turn crisp and crunchy.
