The International Union for the conservation of Nature, the body that issues the worlds endangered species list has reclassified the South African Giraffe as Vulnerable Status from a species of least concern, in its red list of threatened species report.

That means the South African Giraffe is an animal which faces extinction in the wild in the medium term if nothing is done to protect its life and habitat.
